Luke Chpt 2, vs.49
After finding out that Jesus was not with the family after they had left Jerusalem, they found Him in the temple, asking, and answering questions of the priests.
Mary kinda got on Him, asking why He had put them through all that worry and stress. His answer? (Davis translation) didn't you know I had to be doing my Father's business?" [ Know ye not that I must be about my Father's business].
Makes me wonder, are we about our Father's business? Every day? How so?
Well, I pray! That's good, that's what we are suppose to do.
Well, I go to church! Ok, forget not to assemble yourselves together.
But find the part that says; I was hungry, tired, naked, sick, etc. Those are the things mentioned.
Love your neighbor as yourself...that is a commandment.
Can others see the love of God shining through you? Can they FEEL the love of God through you?
This is what our goal is today, be about our Father's business, in all our dealings, actions, and interactions.
Remember, to some folks, what they learn about God is how YOU treat them, how YOU act during the week.
Be honest...are you about your Father's business?

Lessons from the Owners Manual # 175 Why call Me Lord, Lord, and not do the things I command of you. That's pretty clear, why do we call Him Lord, if we are not doing what we are told to do. Things like feed the hungry, help the poor, treat the wounded and sick, and all the other things we are supposed to do. What about the things we DO that we ARE NOT supposed to do? What if we don't smile back when someone smiles at us? Just a friendly wave can change a person's day. What other things can we do to gain favor in His eyes? Would really like to hear what you think about this question. What are some things we all can do, to serve our Lord? Let me here from you, what are your ideas and plans?
